The Sheffield College 64 – 62 Manchester Mystics Academy

In the close battle between the two strong sides, it was Sheffield who came out on top winning 64-62 at the final buzzer against a very strong Manchester side.

Neck and neck until the very last seconds made for a very exciting game in Sheffield and each quarter saw only a few points difference between the two sides. However, a big push from the Sheffield in the last quarter saw them just over the line.

Hard work and hustle was shown throughout the game by both teams causing a close score line and edge of the seat viewing for the full 40 minutes.

Impressive individual and team efforts saw Sheffield coming out on top with Ava Patchesa scoring 24 , Zoe Kateregga with 14 and the Whitehouse sisters with 9 a piece.

Manchester also had some very impressive individual scoring performances with three players in double figures , H Bryan with 16, L Bryan with 14 and Z Parker with 13. A solid shooting performance from both sides kept the game competitive but the push down the stretch was what made the difference.

The Sheffield college improve their record to 5-2 as they seek another victory when they face Manchester again in 2 weeks. Before that game, Manchester will look for a win on the road against Derby next week.
