Nottingham Academy Wildcats vs Myerscough College

Nottingham Academy Wildcats dropped a difficult game at home to the visiting Myerscough College on Wednesday afternoon, losing 56-67.

After a tight first half, the visitors opened up a six point lead with a 0-4 run to close the half. The game was opened up in third quarter, which Myerscough took 16-12.

“We lacked toughness and went away from the game plan, especially when things become difficult,” said Nottingham forward Shaniya Rose.

“However, this is a stepping stone and we will grow and get better as a team.”

Celina Eisenhardt finished with a game-high 18 points for Myerscough, whilst Kyra Smith added 16 for the away side. Nottingham were led by 13 points from Mariam Olawoyin.

Nottingham will continue their campaign on Wednesday 21 November, with an AoC Sport Premier Cup game on the road at Charnwood College, while Myerscough will travel to take on Manchester Mystics in the Northern Conference on the same date.
