Myerscough v Loreto

Emma Cheetham scored a game-high 19 points to help Myerscough make a strong start to the WEABL season against Loreto with a 70-23 victory on Wednesday.

Jadzea Quinn and Milly Knowles combined for 18 points whilst Shauna Harrison added 12 in a lopsided win at Myerscough’s High Performance Centre.

Myerscough led from start to finish, holding a 39-8 half-time advantage before keeping Loreto to just 15 points after the break.

“We had some specifics that we wanted to get better at in this game and I think we made massive strides forward in those areas,” said Myerscough head coach Julie Page. “Our first years are shaping up well, too, and I’m extremely proud of all the girls’ dedication to our long-term goals.”

Chloe Andrew led Loreto with seven points and Silvia Okuonghae had six.

Myerscough visits Charnwood College on November 8 for it’s final WEABL game in the opening round.
