Myerscough College 35 v 77 Derby Trailblazers Academy

Megan Lovatt scored a game-high 23 points as Derby beat Myerscough 77-35 in the WEABL.

Derby led 39-20 at halftime and blew the game open with a 16-3 third quarter.

“We’re really going to have to work hard this year,” said Myerscough coach Mike Bernard. “It’s going to be a challenge, but the girls are ready and willing and I’m looking forward to seeing day-to-day improvement.”

Kenny Hamilton had 17 points and Natasha Barker added 14 for Derby, who had four finish in double figures scoring. Anneleise Roundtree chipped in 10. Natalie Paredes Alvis had a team-high 21 points for Myerscough and Celina Eisenhardt finished with nine.

Myerscough travels to Sheffield next Wednesday while Derby enjoy a break in their schedule.
