Copleston v Rydens

Copleston moved to 4-3 in the WEABL with a comprehensive 105-43 win at home against a much improved RES on Monday.

The Suffolk side put together a polished offensive performance that saw five players score more that fifteen points.

The leading scorer on the day was the sharp shooting Jessica Baker, who connected on five shots from long range on her way to a game high 29 points. Ashleigh Pink put together a monster triple-double of 23 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists.

Elsewhere Freya Cooney, Frances Musson and Maya Price all added 16 each, with Price adding 16 boards and five blocks.

RES were led by Lauren France, who got hot in the fourth on her way to 21 in the game.

“They have improved a lot. It was important to get a win, and it was great for players to get any rust out of their system ahead of a busy ten days with a national cup quarter final on Wednesday” said Copleston Head Coach Nick Drane

RES have the daunting task of CoLA away next week.
