Another three games in the WEABL provided more than their fair share of standout performances, making it difficult to pick out a clear Player of the Week.
Isobel Robinson’s 22 points against Sheffield came with six turnovers, and Eva Karasaite’s outing against Itchen was also in contention, but this week’s winner is CoLA’s Ana-Isabel Andersson.
Andersson helped CoLA crush cross-town rivals Barking 76-35, playing great at both ends of the court to get the job done.
22 points came on 7/13 shooting that also included three triples from six attempts, with three rebounds, five assists and three steals making for a great afternoon’s work.
A final efficiency rating of 24 was evidence of how well Andersson played, as was her +/- of 29.
Speaking about the award, Andersson said: “We had a great team win with everyone contributing.
“I’d like thank the coaches for pushing us to be the team that we are, so I am grateful for this award and I’m looking forward to this week’s game.”
