WEABL Recap – 8 December

The WEABL has all but hit the mid-season break, with just one game this past Wednesday and one further game remaining in 2021.

Here’s a quick round-up of how things went between CoLA and Itchen.

City of London Academy 76-32 Itchen College

CoLA will finish the year unbeaten as they sealed their fifth win of the season following a comfortable 76-32 victory over Itchen.

It been an imposing run during the first half of the year for the London programme, conceding an average of just 40.0PPG across their five contests.

Itchen failed to find a way to break down the Southern conference leaders, with Luck Tucker-Blackford the only player to make it to double-digits for the visitors, she had 14 points.

That left Isi Ozzy-Momodu to go to work for CoLA, her 20 points led all scorers as Emily O’Connell added 12 more and Damola Oyetoro had nine.

Defeat leaves Itchen with a 2-4 record heading into 2022, though still in control of the conference’s fourth and final playoff spot.
