WEABL Player of the Week – 24 November 2021

The WEABL season has reached week eight, but there’s still time to look back at last Wednesday’s action as we crown another Player of the Week.

After playing a key role in Itchen’s exciting 88-76 win against Barking Abbey, Faye Endean has been tabbed as our WEABL POTW!

The well-known forward’s stock continues to rise as she dropped an impressive 28 points against BA in the double-digit victory.

Adding in seven rebounds, four assists and five steals, it’s easy to see why Endean was spotlighted as this week’s standout performer.

It was a close run thing though, with Itchen team mate Anna Nevison (29pts, 6-10 3pt, 7reb, 4ast) coming close to taking the accolade herself.

Endean said: “It feels really great to get Player of the Week but the real credit goes to my teammates.

“It was a great team performance and we can only build from here. It was a great win but Player of the Week just tops it off.”

Head coach Vicky Milner added: “Faye is the most coachable youngster I have had the pleasure to work with. She has a team first mentality, and is very humble.

“Her finishing has improved no end and she is tough to stop in transition. The work she has put into her game during the off season is starting to show and the sky is the limit.

“This is only the start for Faye.”
