It’s the second year of the WEABL 3×3 National Finals, at Leicester Arena.

Schedule/Results

Nottingham 14-16 Barking Abbey

Barking Abbey edge out Nottingham with a narrow two-point victory in the opening game of the day as Loren Christie leads with 6 points.

Copleston 8-18 Myerscough

Myerscough make a strong start with a convincing 10-point win over Copleston, led by Shauna Harrison’s seven-point display.

Barking Abbey 17-15 Oaklands

Barking Abbey advance to the semi-finals as they overcome Oaklands in a close battle. Loren Christie led the victors with 6 points, while Tia Freeman had a game-high 7 in defeat.

Myerscough 8-14 Charnwood

Charnwood start their finals campaign with a strong win over Myerscough – who drop to 1-1 – with a balanced attack led by Holly Winterburn’s 6 points.

Nottingham 9-21 Oaklands

Krisztina Nagy netted 14 points to lead Oaklands into the semi-finals with a dominant win over Nottingham to finish as runners-up in Pool A.

Charnwood 19-6 Copleston

Charnwood put in a clinical display to see off Copleston and advance as the pool winners with 9 points for Holly Winterburn and a further 8 from Imogen Cook.

Pool A: Barking Abbey 2-0; Oaklands 1-1; Nottingham 0-2
Pool B: Charnwood 2-0; Myerscough 1-1; Copleston 0-2

5th/6th place: Nottingham 18-15 Copleston

Nottingham claimed their first win as they earned a three-point win against Copleston to secure fifth place in the 3×3 tournament.

Semi-final: Barking Abbey 13-11 Myerscough (OT)

Barking Abbey needed an extra period to book their spot in the final as they outlasted Myerscough in a thrilling opening semi-final. Milly Knowles had 6 points in the loss with BA led by Loren Christie’s 5 points.

Semi-final: Charnwood 22-10 Oaklands

Charnwood set up a final showdown with Barking Abbey as they defeat Oaklands before the buzzer with a clinical display with 11 points for Holly Winterburn.

3rd/4th place: Myerscough 8-10 Oaklands

Oaklands secured a third place finish as they edged out Myerscough with Tia Freeman top scoring with 5 points for her side.

Final: Barking Abbey 6-15 Charnwood

Charnwood became 3×3 champions as they earned victory against Barking Abbey in the final with Ebony Horton, Holly Winterburn and Megan Jones all netting 5 points apiece in the triumph.
