WEABL Round-Up – Week 16

Three games took place in the latest week of action as the last remaining perfect record was ended..

North Conference

The unbeaten record of Charnwood came to an end this week as Myerscough recorded a 47-41 home triumph.

Shauna Harrison top scored with 16 points with Milly Knowles providing valuable support with 15 points to help their side to a sixth league win of the campaign.

STANDINGS

South Conference

Barking Abbey secured third spot in the South with back-to-back victories in the week.

First, they defeated Copleston 73-96 on the road behind 24 points from Armanu before seeing off Rydens with a 96-61 victory.

Sade Orija netted 24 points to lead BA to the win with Alina Ples and Lauren France scoring 27 and 21 points respectively for the visitors.

Oaklands’ scheduled fixture against Rydens resulted in a 20-0 win after the visitors forfeited following an injury and the final game between Copleston and Barking Abbey was voided by mutual agreement.
